A new Asian-Canadian Blog - TheTofuPress.com
Up here in the North of the North, also known as Canada (Happy belated birthday to us!), the size of the Asian population is continuously expanding.
At twenty-something, I may not be far from contributing to that phenomenon, if you know what I mean.
Also at twenty-something, I have developed a desire to take part in the global conversation; and to do so as the proud Asian-Canadian that I am.
The blogosphere is vast. The Asian-Canadian blogosphere? Not so much. I would like for The Tofu Press to become a soapbox; for me, and for anyone interested in joining me. The spirit of The Tofu Press will be captured if its existence leads to passionate (but respectful) discussions about all things Asian, Canadian or both!
The journey is scheduled to begin on August 8th, 2009: a lucky day for the Chinese culture. Then, you will see the TP’s first posts come on-line! You will also experience a whole new look to the blog itself.
If you would like to take part as a writer, web designer, photographer, visual artist, here’s your invitation. Do not hesitate to contact me: alan (at) thetofupress.com.
In the meantime, do brew on what you would like to see discussed here. Let’s say you don’t have the time to post on something that matters to you. Send it in to tips (at) thetofupress.com. You will be thanked first, and then we’ll figure out together what we can do with it.
